x6

x6 is a universal roleplaying system that uses d6 dice pools as its base mechanic. Action resolution is quick: a roll 3-4 produces one success and a roll of 5-6 produces two successes, the aim being to score enough successes to beat a task’s difficulty. An extensive list of attributes allows you to sketch your character’s personality, strengths and weaknesses with great detail. What’s more important, attributes and skills interact together in much greater detail than the simple “add the attribute and skill together” approach and you are in charge of how each influences the other.

x6 Core Edition: This contains the basic rules and mechanics used by the x6 system, as well as a sample set of character abilities and a small selection of weapons and armour designed for a contemporary game setting. Future expansions are going to build on this set of rules.

Small Arms: This expansion covers modern firearms in greater detail and provides statistics for many popular weapons, as well as new rules and talents.

Wealth: This expansion adds a simple but powerful system of handling money and investments to the x6 system.

Ghettopocalypse: This is a cyberpunk setting based on a modified version of x6. It was designed by Jonathan Janssen and Otis Johnson as an entry to 1KM1KT’s cyberpunk revival competition.

Expanded character sheet: An expanded version of the x6 character sheet, fitting more info in a single page. Many thanks to Grant Sweeney for designing this.

NPC character sheet: A handy sheet containing stats of up to 4 NPCs in a single page. Courtesy of Grant Sweeney.
