Those of you who have watched the excellent movie Enemy at the Gates, will no doubt recall the scene not long after the beginning of the movie, where our hero Vassili Zaitsef kills 4 unaware German troops by using the noise from artillery strikes to conceal his gunshots. Now, this convenient luxury cannot be guaranteed all the time; just imagine what would have happened if those artillery crews had decided to go on a lunch break!
What Vassili really needed was obviously a sniper rifle that makes people explode in a great ball of fiery death. And that’s exactly what you get with Firestar, a legendary sniper rifle for The Frontier. Don’t be discouraged by Firestar’s weak damage! This is a weapon with a terrific potential for immolating enemies. Furthermore, any enemy killed by your shot or reduced to cinders by the secondary immolation effect, will explode in a big fireball that damages anyone unlucky enough to be near him when he takes the final bow.
If you’re lucky to find one, you’ll see for yourself that Firestar is a great rifle for clearing areas, especially when used against fodder and perhaps some lieutenants. Simply target a weak enemy to increase your chances of getting a kill, and the subsequent boom will have quite an impact on the surrounding enemies.
It’s basically like this: you get a kill, you gain a free grenade attack. You’ll save loads on grenades and you don’t even have to give any of that money back to me!

That’s another RPG added to my downloads folder. Big fan of the kind of games that inspire you, and you hooked me nicely talking about one of Russia’s greatest snipers. Looking forward to getting my teeth into this one.
Thanks, I did play a lot of Borderlands while writing it. I’m looking forward to your thoughts once you’ve read it.
